Getting started with Naviguard

Navigating the health care landscape, especially the out-of-network billing part, can be complicated.
So, we’ve made it as easy as possible to use Naviguard. Below are the 3 steps to our process.

Activate your Naviguard benefit

Call the member phone number on your health plan ID card to activate the Naviguard benefit. Tell the UnitedHealthcare Member Services representative you've received a balance medical bill from a provider and would like to work with Naviguard to resolve your bill.

Send us your information

Naviguard will email you steps to create a secure online account. You'll then be asked to upload your bill and answer a few questions about your out-of-network experience.

Case review and negotiation results

After you provide all the necessary information, your dedicated advisor will review your case and work with the Naviguard negotiation team on possible next steps. You'll be updated along the way. As soon as your case is resolved, your advisor will contact you with the details of the outcome and provide guidance on what to do next.
