Closing of Annapolis, MD Office Effective November 14, 2008
Due to the enormous reduction of boat sales nationwide, the downturn in the marine insurance marketplace in general, and continuing ecomonic hard times, it is with sincere regret that Old United Casualty Company has had to make a cost-cutting decision to close our Annapolis, Maryland office.
In addition, we must also regretfully inform you that we have totally eliminated the position of "Director of Agency Relations" on Old United's Marine & Aviation Division's payroll. Therefore, Ms. Suzanne Redden will, unfortunately, no longer be under our employ.
Old United certainly appreciates the six (6) years of Suzanne's dedicated service that enabled the Marine Division to grow as it has and her assistance in helping us become a major player in the marine insurance community. Her guidance and foresight have been responsible for several of the new enhancements to our various policies/programs. We wish Suzanne all the best in her future endeavors!
The above two (2) changes were effective November 14, 2008.
We'd like everyone to keep in mind that Old United Casualty Company is not a publicly traded insurance company---unlike many of our competitors! We can assure you that our private owners are very financially secure, and that the closing of our Annapolis office has no bearing on the financial solvency of our company. |
